8th December - Battle Day - Public Holiday

24th December - Christmas Eve

29th December - Ram & Fleece Show, Fox Bay

29th December - Shearing Competition, FIDF Hall, Stanley

29th & 30th December - Government Holidays

31st December - New Years Eve

1st January 2012 - New Years Day

2nd January 2012 -  In lieu of New Years Day - Public Holiday

Shearing Dates

Shearing is permitted from 15th October to 15th March using standard combs.

Cover combs may be used from 15th September until the 30th April

The only shearing permitted outside these periods will be of animals which are slaughtered off the shears. The slaughter should take place within two hours if the animals are not penned in the building and in any case not later than twenty four hours post shearing.
