Katrina Stephenson Office Manager I joined the
Department of Minerals on the 23rd January 2006 after spending 10 years at the
Infant / Junior School as Secretary. I got the job as Personal Assistant to the
Director of Minerals & Agriculture, Phyl Rendell and I worked alongside Glynis
King who was the Director’s PA for Agriculture. The Minerals Department of 4
staff was a very different scene from previously working with 23 staff and
around 180 children. I have now
settled into my new surroundings and office which is the first point of contact
on your arrival to the Department of Agriculture. My role is to be front of
house, process all payments as quickly as possible especially the Labour Scheme
and Farm Improvement Programme, invoicing, issuing of burning permits & import
permits for dairy and plant products, payroll, inducting new staff that join the
department, assisting the Heads of Service Mac McArthur and Steve Pointing in
budgeting and the usual duties of a Office Manager like dealing with
appointments, answering the phone, filing, typing etc. |
